AFTERCARE

  • Blot the brow with clean, dry tissue during the first 24 hours.

  • The next day, wash the brow using lukewarm water with a natural, unscented soap to gently clean off the area. DO NOT use perfumed soaps or cleansers. DO NOT scrub. Dry the area by blotting with a paper towel or letting them air dry. After the brow is dry, apply a small amount of the aftercare oil/ lotion provided (organic cold-pressed grape seed oil). Blot the excess oil with a tissue or lint free cotton round. Repeat this cycle of WASH, DRY, & OIL TWICE a day for the next 6 DAYS. Never touch the procedure area without washing your hands immediately before.

  • Do not scrub, rub, or pick at the epithelial crust that forms. Allow it to flake off by itself. If it is removed before it is ready, the pigment underneath it can be pulled out.

  • Avoid heavy sweating, sun exposure, or sleeping on your face for the first 10 days. ABSOLUTELY NO sweating for the 1st 48 hours. It is recommended to use sunblock after the procedure area has healed to protect from sun fading.

  •  You must avoid swimming or soaking in pools, hot tubs, or oceans while you are healing.

  • No facials, Botox, chemical treatments and microdermabrasion for at least 4 weeks.

  •  You may not apply makeup to the brow area for 7-14 days following the procedure.

What Is Normal?

  •  Redness and swelling is minimal. The treated area may feel like a sunburn afterwards, but there should be minimal discomfort. During the initial healing period, there may be scabbing or flaking of the skin. You must not pick or rub the scabs. Aftercare oil is nice for scabbing and tightness.

  • Your eyebrows will appear darker, bolder, more sharply defined and more intense than expected for the first week or so. This will gradually lighten during the healing process.

  • During the initial healing period, there may be scabbing or flaking of the skin. You must not pick or rub the scabs or dry skin as you may accidentally pull out the pigment. The complete healing process can take anywhere from 4-6 weeks at which time the true, healed color will be revealed.

  • The color can look very light, invisible, milky, grey, or pink during this process while the skin is regenerating. You must wait until at least 4 weeks to see the true color.

  • The procedure area has to be completely healed before we are able to address any concerns. The healing process takes at least 4 weeks.

  • We recommend the initial touch up session 6-12 weeks after the first session (included in today’s price) The cost of touch up sessions after 10 weeks (of 2nd / final session) is not included in the initial price and is the current touch up rate at the time of touch up.

  • Needing a refresher appointment months or years later. A refresher may be needed 12 months to 2 years after the final session depending on your skin, medications, and sun exposure.

** Failure to follow after care instructions may result in infections, pigment loss, or discoloration.
